TRS Yucatan Hotel

LOCATION

The Royal Suites (TRS) Yucatan Hotel is located in Riviera Maya, Mexico. It is located South about an hour from the airport (Cancun). It is about 30 minutes South of Playa del Carmen and 30 minutes North of Tulum. Also, the resort is about 15 to 20 minutes away from Puerto Aventuras, which is a port where you can you take a ship to the island of Cozumel.

AMENITIES & UNIQUE FEATURES

The resort is Adults-Only, but is connected to Grand Palladium Riviera Maya, home to Kentenah, Colonial, & White Sand sides. TRS guests can go freely about the Grand Palladium side; however, the TRS side is exclusive to only TRS guests. The two share the same fitness center & Zentropia Spa, but TRS has their own restaurants exclusive to TRS guests (can go to dinner on the Grand Palladium side also).

Stand-out Features to the Resort:

  • ·         Adults-Only, exclusive only to TRS guests

  • Triple-decker infinity pool overlooking the ocean (and a saltwater pool attached to the ocean)

  • Your own Butler who will customize your room, fridge, & bottle service

  • 24-hour 5-star Room Service

  • Private TRS transportation to and from all lobbies & to and from your Villa

  • All dining (lunch, breakfast, & dinner) is A-la-carte style. Breakfast & lunch do have buffet-style options as well, but of a higher quality.

  • Private Cabanas on the water with private canoes, Rooms with Jacuzzis on the terrace, & Ambassador suites on top-level with own jacuzzi, pool & balcony

  • Chic Cabaret Show, voted #1 Dining Experience in Yucatan Peninsula All-Inclusive Resorts

  • 5 exclusive a-la-carte restaurants + those of Grand Palladium

  • Private TRS Beach section with cabanas on the Grand Palladium beach

MUST-DO’S

  • Reserve a dinner at Chic Cabaret Show! 2-hour dinner & show, as mentioned voted top Dining Experience and it does not disappoint.

  • Eat a 1-Kilo (2.2 pound) steak called El Chuleton at El Gaucho, Argentinian Steakhouse

  • Swim with the fish at their Saltwater Pool. Connected to the ocean and filled-up during high tide, you’re practically in an enclosed part of the ocean.

  • Talk to your butler to customize your room – from fridge amenities, to air accents, to pillow-types, to bottle service

  • Order food service to the pool! They will bring out the same options you could order at A-la-carte restaurants, but at the convenience of soaking up some sun at your private cabana.

REVIEW

Just from the amenities that I have listed, you can probably write a review on your own haha! Jokes aside, I was impressed beyond words at the luxury and the exceptional customer service on this side of the resort. Being upgraded halfway through the trip, I was able to experience both locations extensively. Although the TRS Yucatan Hotel is slightly more expensive than the Grand Palladium, I am telling you wholeheartedly it will be worth every extra dollar! It was an entirely different experience. The staff knew your name, they were around every single corner within in a second of when you needed them. Having a-la-carte options for lunch and breakfast was a nice change from the international buffets for most resorts, and their food was of top-class. And dinner - woah - was of the finest dining I have experienced at an All-Inclusive Resort. A cool feature was everything could be done through your TV or Butler. Reservations, done. Room Service (not like hotel Room Service, like 5-star restaurant food…you could order lobster or a prime cut of steak), you got it. Want something outside of the norm specifically for your stay or your room, they will provide it. Once again like the Grand Palladium side, there was no nightclub since they added the TRS side into the property and changed it to the Chic Cabaret Show. But, the lounge outside Chic after the show is nice and Playa del Carmen is not too far for nightlife opportunities. Also, on the TRS side, there is no beach to hang out at since it is on the coast with all rocks; however, a short golf-cart ride to the Grand Palladium part will set you up on a private section of the beach for TRS guests only. Will definitely not be the last time I go there; it was an incredible experience beyond words.
