Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa

LOCATION

The Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa is located in Lucea, Jamaica. It is located about 45 minutes from the airport (Montego Bay), traveling East towards Negril. It is about 30 minutes from Negril and also about 2 hours from Ocho Rios.

AMENITIES & UNIQUE FEATURES

The resort is home to two properties, the Jamaica side & the Lady Hamilton side. There are a ton of activities to do and a bunch of places to dine at. There are 7 a-la-carte restaurants to choose from for dinner, 3 international buffets, & 2 chicken jerk huts. On the property, there is a theater & a night club, in addition to the fitness center & Zentropia Spa.

Stand-out Features at the Resort:

  • The largest pool in Jamaica! (plus 1 Kiddie pool & 2 other Adult pools, 1 which is open 24 hours)

  • 4 different beaches

  • 8 Private Suite Villas at the edge of the water on the Lady Hamilton side

  • Hibachi-style dinner (make a reservation in-advance)

  • 24-hour Sports Bar for late-night snacks & drinks

MUST-DO’S

  • Book Hibachi dinner at Samptouri with Chef ChingChing!

  • Spend a day at Sunset Cove (on the property, one of the beaches) where all the water activities take place. Water seems to be even clearer at this part of the beach and resort.

  • Head to the Jerk Chicken Hut for some authentic Jamaican cuisine.

  • Bring something white for Monday’s White-Out party on the beach!

REVIEW

After going two times already this year, it is safe to say I highly recommend this place! It has a little bit of everything, good for the typical family vacation, guys’ or girls’ trip, or a couple’s getaway. There is also enough to do around the resort, you will never be bored – beach volleyball, multiple beaches, water activities (pool and ocean), theater shows, night club, lounge with live music, gym and spa. However, if you choose to go off the resort, Negril is a short ride and so is going back downtown into Montego Bay. The quality of food for dinner is of 5-star, and there are so many different-themed options, you will be able to please everyone! And 4 different beaches give you variety, all having a decent amount of sand, but not enough to play beach soccer or set up a wiffle-ball field. The best part of the resort – the staff. Jamaican people are extremely laid back, and their positive and optimistic personalities radiated across the resort. There is one thing to be treated like a guest, an entirely different thing to be treated as a friend.
